See what actress Maia Campbell is up to now... Maia is best known for playing the eldest daughter "Tiffany Warren" on the show in the House with LL Cool J & Debbie Allen. She's featured in Tyrese's "lately" video and other shows & Movies. Maia has been rumored to not only be on drugs but prostituting. Many sources state her problems stem from a mental illness which may be a bipolar disorder, but this has never been confirmed. In 2007 some unflattering naked pictures were released of her. Her mother, Bebe Moore a best selling novelist passed away from brain cancer in 2006. Before her death Bebe explained the common theme of mental illness in her many books was based on a family member. Maya is 33 with 2 daughters which makes this situation even worse. It's truly a sad thing to see people with such talent & opportunity to loose track and spiral down. Hopefully Maia can get some help and shape up.

As many people may know Adam "Dj AM" Goldstein was found dead in his apartment Friday August 28th 2009. Dj AM was revered as one of the top turntablist/Djs by many people including his peers. He has Dj'ed for music icons such as Travis Barker and Jay-Z. Dj AM was found dead in his apartment with several prescription drugs and crack. Dj AM death is a major lost to the music community and my prayers go out to his family.

Today August 25, 2009 marks the 8 year anniversary of Aaliyah Dana Haughtons death. Aaliyah was and is a very influential force in the R&B game. We constantly still see artists imitating her style & Sound. Passing away from a fatal airplane acident she left behind such hits as Rock the Boat, 4 Page Letter, Back in One Piece, Are you that Somebody, Try Again, Need a Resolution, Miss You, One in a Million & More than a Woman. She is forever in our hearts and so is her Legacy. R.I.P Aaliyah one of the best to ever do it, 1979 -2001.

The New England Patriots faced The Philadelphia Eagle in yesterday's pre-season opener. Tom Brady made Patriot fans feel a little sense of assurance after his performance in yesterday game where he finished the night 10-of-15 for 100 yards and 2 Touchdowns. The patriots dominated the score board until the 3rd quarter but still came out victorious with a final score of 27-25.

Heres a quick listen to Chris Browns first single "Changed Man" off his upcoming album "Graffiti." It seems to me this is quite obviously about Rihanna, but there are no confirmations or denials as of yet. He states in the song "saying sorry doesn't make it alright, but I believe we can make it if we try" & quite often sings " I'm a changed man." Let me know what you think...

What??...2 years for Cop Killing SONG!?!?!
Antavio Johnson from Florida was sentenced to 2 years in prison for a song called "Kill Me A Cop". Antavio wrote the song a few years prior to his conviction but was accused when a gang related unit started rummaging the internet for gang activity. Although I dont agree what the things he said everyone is entitled to their first amendment rights. I have read a couple different articles about this incident and opposing articles say that although we have our first amendment rights violent threats are treated differently. My issue with this is that, music is a way of expression so him making music was an effort to express how he was feeling at the time not a murder plot he planned on carrying out. So how is that considered a threat. I have mixed feelings on this situation...tell me what you think??

Big Baby's Back
Glen "Big Baby" Davis has decided to stay another two years with the Celtics. It has been reported that he has signed a two year deal with the Celtics that could pay up to $6 million dollars, if he adheres to weight clauses. The deal allows Davis to become an unrestricted free agent the summer of 2011. Big Baby has been pretty consistent player for the Celtics and a monster in the playoffs. So I'm happy he is back with the Big Green.

It seems like Teyanna got this deal for posting several twitter pics of herself in MOB clothing. Hova goes on Oprah? Could it be! Well it very well maybe. As we all know Talk Show host , Oprah, has had a "No rapper" band on for her show. Oprah has been criticized by many artist such as Ludacris... She hasn't had a rapper appear on her show in over 10 years but soon this may change. Jay Z will be featured this upcoming fall in efforts to promote his new album dropping. Jay Z & Oprah visit Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, NY where he grew up. They'll discuss how he earned his fortune, how he plans to help end poverty, and even his relationship with international superstar Beyonce. Reportedly this deal came through with the help of his right hand Beyonce. The deal was if Beyonce appeared on the Oprah show this pass Spring she must give Jay an interview. Now thats how a power couple continues to progress.
